Warner Bros EntertainmentWith Stephen King’s It, Warner Bros and New Line have concocted the perfect antidote to the summer’s bummer drought at the box office. Call it an “anti-superhero movie.”As I predicted yesterday, It has so far been a far more robust box office performer than the typical R-rated horror flick. It's equally plausible that the picture could drop by just 40 percent and finish its first weekend at $125 million. Compare that to last month's Annabelle: Creation, a solid hit that was also released by Warner Bros-New Line. It has so far earned a 2.66 multiplier on that opening weekend, for a $93 million total in its first month of release.
