The award recognises the best netballer across all elite competitions and Silver Ferns campaigns. Maddy Gordon was recognised by fans nationwide, receiving the Silver Ferns fan favourite award, while Peta Toeava was named ANZ Premiership player of the year. At community and pathway level, Avah Sila was recognised as secondary schools player of the year, while Geni Ah Tong received National Netball League coach of the year honours.
