My Take: I have found that volatile markets are often when the best managers make their best investments. I think it is because the best opportunities are created when stocks are moving down in spite of improving company fundamentals. If you use fund managers, rank your managers from top to bottom in order of long-term track record. Then, sell the one with the shortest, least impressive, track record and reinvest the proceeds with a manager near the top of your list.
