Photo: Naoise CulhaneA nationwide Status Yellow wind warning and weather advisory are in place for the weekend, with Storm Dave set to bring “very strong” winds over Easter. The advisory from Met Éireann, which came into effect at midnight on Friday and will remain in place until midnight on Tuesday, warns of “unsettled and mixed” conditions over Easter. There could be “severe or damaging” gusts and coastal flooding is likely, particularly during high tide and in low-lying areas along the Atlantic coast. High tides, storm surge and persistent winds would further increase the risk of coastal flooding, Met Éireann said, with western and northern coastal areas particularly vulnerable.
