A large-scale police operation was underway in Baden-Württemberg on Friday morning, as police hunt a man they believe shot his son and two adult friends. The shooting happened at around 10pm in an upscale neighbourhood of the town of Villingendorf, around 100km south of Stuttgart. By the time police arrived at the murder scene the boy and an adult man had already died. The boy’s mother was also at the scene as the shooting happened, but was able to escape. The focus of the search is currently on the Autobahns in the southern state, while checks at state and national border crossings have been intensified.
