Confusion has gripped members of the Kihiu Mwiri land buying firm, after the government suspended the issuance of title deeds, but later reversed itself. The director gave the order a week after Murang’a Lands registry circulated a list of 2,870 members meant to collect their tittle deeds from the office. Kahuho, who declined to give details, said some shareholders visited the ministry headquarters earlier in the week and raised issues. Kiarie said shareholders had peacefully waited for the government to complete verification of documents and start issuing titles. Lands ministry’s national director Peter Kahuho on Wednesday announced the process would stop, following numerous complaints by members.
