Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua has claimed that the fuel crisis witnessed across the country is due to State capture. In an interview on KTN news on Tuesday, Gachagua claimed President Uhuru Kenyatta has not found time to address the crisis but instead had time to address other political issues. Further, the MP defended sentiments made the Deputy President William Ruto concerning the fuel crisis in the country. “What the Deputy President was saying was that public officials have abandoned the affairs of the government,” Gachagua said. DP Ruto on Monday said graft cartels in the fuel industry were responsible for the current crisis.
