The public administration ministry issued a circular on Chaiti’s appointment as per the state minister’s wish on Tuesday. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina appointed Keramat state minister, the MP from Rajbarhi-1 seat, on Jan 3. A state minister gets a private secretary from the public servants with the rank of deputy secretary. The state minister can also appoint an APS on his or her own choice. A state minister gets two personal officers from grade 10 of the national pay scale or personal assistant from grade 14 and two lower subordinate staffers and a chef.
