State Highway 1 temporarily closed after bus catches fireBEN CLIFFORD A bus fire closed State Highway 1 south of Waiouru. A bus fire temporarily closed State Highway 1 in both directions south of Waiouru. Police received reports of a stationary bus on fire about 4pm, at the junction of Deacons Road and State Highway One. Police and fire officers are at the scene and were expected to be there for some time. There are no suitable diversions, so motorists are advised to avoid the area if possible.
