Ferrying goods across states will now get quicker with the Goods and Service Tax (GST) Council approving on Saturday an all-India rollout of electronic-way (e-way) bill from February. The GST Council also decided that rules for implementation of nationwide e-way Bill system for inter-State movement of goods on a compulsory basis will be notified with effect from February 1, 2018. "This will bring uniformity across the States for seamless inter-State movement of goods," the ministry said in a tweet. Jaitley had said yesterday that the Council has prepared schedule with regard to e-way bill to check evasion. "I think Council has already taken decision with regard to time schedule, with regard to e-way bill itself.
