It was a preseason game between Minnesota and the Dallas Stars in September 2018, which means it was possible that Dallas would have some unfamiliar players on the ice. Boudreau learned quickly that the blur who just scored on him was Dallas prospect Roope Hintz. Even in 2018, back when Boudreau first learned of him, Hintz was sent down from the Stars to the Texas Stars three times. He’s got speed, he’s got size, great hockey IQ, very competitive, unbelievable shot, too.
