Star of Matilda helps National Ballet celebrate World Ballet Day


The National Ballet, Australian Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Royal Ballet andthe Mirvish presentation of Matilda the Musical, will host the ballet company’s live stream from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that day. Actor Dan Chameroy, a Stratford Festival veteran currently starring inBallet of Canada celebrate World Ballet Day on Oct. 4. A man with links to two other cultural institutions will help the NationalSan Francisco Ballet are all taking part in a 20-hour live stream, whichwill appear on Facebook Live for the first time. Viewers can watch the Canadian company rehearse Cinderella and Onegin in the Walter Carsen Centre in Toronto as well as a choreographicworkshop, with appearances from artistic director Karen Kain, executive director Barry Hughson and choreographic associate Robert Binet. As well, numerous guest companies will take part in World Ballet DayLive, with the Boston Ballet and Miami City Ballet participating in theNational Ballet’s stream.
