The much-anticipated footage has revealed the title of the upcoming end of the Skywalker saga and ninth film in the main Star Wars franchise as The Rise of Skywalker. The trailer showed our first official hints at the plot of the new film and debuted at Star Wars Celebration on April 12, 2019. Emperor Palpatine actor Ian McDiarmid appeared on stage to say "roll it again" in the Palpatine voice. Star Wars Episode IX: is released in UK cinemas on December 19, 2019.
