Despite rumours and hopes to the contrary, Disney did not debut a trailer for Star Wars episode 9 at the Super Bowl 2019, despite footage being shown for upcoming releases like Avengers: Endgame, Captain Marvel and Toy Story 4. Even more likely, though, is that the annual Star Wars celebrations on May the Fourth will be the first time we get to see some footage of the long-awaited final instalment in the sequel trilogy. Either way, we can't wait to see how returning The Force Awakens director J.J. Abrams chooses to wrap things up. Star Wars: Episode 9 is released on December 20.
