The former Stanley Cup winning Dallas Stars head coach was announced as part of the Class of 2023 on Wednesday. He led the franchise to its first, and so far only, Stanley Cup in 1999. He also led the Stars back to the Stanley Cup Final in 2000, where Dallas ultimately fell to New Jersey. Hitchcock finished his career fourth overall in career NHL wins with 849 and seventh in games coached with 1,598. That included a trip to the Stanley Cup Final in 2014 and two Eastern Conference Final appearances.
