It’s not as if Brandon Smith left and Jamar Wall suddenly needs to take over as the Calgary Stampeders’ leader in the defensive backfield. Wall re-signed with the Stampeders on Friday and will be one of the most important veteran voices in the lockerroom in 2020. “Some things change because we lost Brandon and we’re young, but we’ve got a lot of good young (DBs),” Wall said. The eight-year veteran has played 128 regular-season games in the CFL, all with the Stampeders. With Smith gone, Wall is by far the longest-serving defensive back.
