Stalin unveils statues of late leaders


DMK president M.K. Stalin on Monday unveiled statues of late Chief Ministers C. N. Annadurai and M. Karunanidhi at Kalaigner Arivalayam in Tiruchi and that of late party leader Anbil Dharmalingam at his native village near Lalgudi. Mr. Stalin recalled the contributions made by the late leaders for the party's growth. Nehru and N. Periasamy, Rajya Sabha Member Tiruchi N. Siva, senior Congress leader and Tiruchi MP Su Thirunavakkarasar, DMK youth wing leader Udayanidhi Stalin, Tiruverumbur MLA and grandson of the late leader Mahesh Poyyamozhi, and former MLA Anbil Periyasamy took part. While taking part in the centenary celebrations of Anbil Dharmalingam at his native village near Lalgudi earlier in the day, Mr. Stalin described the late leader as a stalwart who worked for the upliftment of the poor and downtrodden.
