Unless there is a minor miracle in the remaining Ford Trophy 50 over matches, the Central Stags have no chance of qualifying in the top three to earn a playoff in New Plymouth. Beaten in the T20 final and virtually out of the hunt in the Plunket Shield with five games remaining, this season on is shaping to be one of much frustration and disappointment. So far this season he has scored 161 runs in six Ford Trophy games and 12 in his only Plunket Shield outing. If nothing else it will be satisfying for the locals to see the Stags perform to a high level on their favourite white ball ground and leave Taranaki with a buzz in the air and looking forward to next season.
