Stabbing in Dunedin: Countdown knife attack victims say thanks


Victims of a supermarket stabbing in Dunedin have expressed "thanks and gratitude" for the support they have been shown since the attack a week ago. A man armed with several small knives stabbed four people – three of whom suffered critical injuries –at Countdown Dunedin Central last Monday. A 42-year-old man appeared the Dunedin District Court on Tuesday on four counts of attempted murder. Hamish McNeilly/Stuff Emergency services were called to a Countdown supermarket in central Dunedin after a stabbing. In the statement via police, the victims said they had had received messages of support from both the wider Dunedin community and around New Zealand.
