The local St. Vincent de Paul Society started in October 1958 and Lonergan helped found the thrift store then. Paul Lonergan is one of the founders of the St. Vincent de Paul Society thrift store at 424 E. Locust St. On Tuesday, the society dedicated the building and grounds to him and named the site The Paul Lonergan Complex.
