Thousands of people are cheering on the St Patrick's Day parades all over the country today. There were a lot of preparations for the Cork city parade. St Patrick was braving the cold wind in Carrigtwohill in Co Cork. There was plenty of craic to be had at the Waterford City parade this afternoon. "It sure is cold but nevertheless we won't let it dampen our spirits," St Patrick himself told the people of Skibbereen, Co. Cork.
