Traffic along Waiyaki Way will be disrupted and diverted as KeNHA removes the St Mark's bridge in Westlands. This is to allow the ongoing construction of Nairobi Expressway, KeNHA director general Peter Mundinia said in a statement on Saturday. All vehicles from CBD to James Gichuru Road will have to turn left into the service road before the St Mark's footbridge and rejoin Waiyaki Way after Mvuli Road. The disruption will also affect some sections of Mombasa Road and Uhuru Highway during the construction of Nairobi Expressway. The construction of the dual carriage Nairobi Expressway has started, signalling a possible end to traffic jams in the city.
