A St. Catharines woman is in hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being shot during a break-in Monday night. Police were called around 7:30 p.m. about a potential robbery at a home on Lake Street during which a gunshot was heard. The victim was treated on-scene by Niagara Emergency Medical Services before being transferred to a Niagara Health System hospital with non-life threatening injuries. All four suspects have been described as wearing dark clothing, wearing hooded sweaters or jackets with their faces covered. Investigators say they believe the break-in was not a random act.
