An official said light-motor vehicles were allowed to move towards Kashmir after clearance of landslides at Panthal. "Over 300 light motor vehicles stranded at Ramban were allowed to move towards Kashmir on priority basis," said the official. He said no traffic would be allowed to move towards Jammu. The closure of the highway, which is the lifeline of essential supplies to the landlocked Kashmir Valley, has caused shortage of vegetables, mutton, etc.
