Australian Federal Police Detective Superintendent Michael McTiernan was quoted telling reporters on Friday that police found a notebook that named a number of locations and individuals that are “potential targets”. The investigation into the man’s activities began after police were handed a notebook by an employee of the university. “At this stage he hasn’t been charged with being a member of a terrorist group. His visa was due to expire in September and he was allegedly in the process of making an application for an extension.
