Sri Lanka set for Sanya 2026 with 77 athletes across eight sports View(s):The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC Sri Lanka) officially unveiled the Sri Lanka contingent for the 6th Asian Beach Games, marking a significant step in the nation’s journey to Sanya 2026. Sri Lanka will be represented by a total contingent of 109 members, including 77 athletes comprising 40 male and 37 female competitors, who will compete across eight sports. The eight sports in which Sri Lanka will compete are athletics, kabaddi, handball, volleyball, 3×3 basketball, open water swimming, wrestling, and sailing. The Chef de Mission of Sri Lanka, Samith Thilina, was also formally introduced at the event held at Olympic House in Colombo. Adding a unique dimension to his role, he is also the designer of Sri Lanka’s official team attire for Sanya 2026.
