KUALA LUMPUR: It is always a challenge for Siow Yee Xian to stay ahead of his squash rivals. Yee Xian, who will be 17 on Oct 3, had to fend off a strong challenge from 15-year-old Duncan Lee before prevailing 15-13, 9-11, 11-7, 12-10 in the final at the National Squash Centre in Bukit Jalil yesterday. But Yee Xian, who is from Malacca, kept his cool to level at 10-all before sealing his first Under-19 title this year. The boys in my age-group are all younger than me and they’ve been training hard to catch up,” said Yee Xian. Yiwen won 9-11, 11-5, 11-9, 11-7 to maintain a perfect record in the four-player round-robin competition.
