SportThe Government of Pakistan will extend their fullest support to develop and spread the game of squash across Sri Lanka, Sri Lanka Squash Federation Secretary Lcdr Priyadarshana Abeywardena (Rtd), SLN told the Sunday Times Online. “With the help of Sri Lanka Sports Ministry and Minister of Sports Dayasiri Jayasekera, our aim is to popularize the game across the island gradually,” Abeywardena said. Meanwhile, SLS has already planned to conduct the 27th edition of Junior National Championship next month with participation of around 400 players from the schools of Western and Central Provinces. All arrangements have been made for live telecast during the forthcoming Junior National Championship to be held from November 26 to December 3. “Our prime target is to spread the sport and we have arranged everything to telecast live on Channel Eye, the Ritzbury sponsored Junior National Championship,” Gunawardena said.
