more-inNEW DELHI: The ceremonial ticket for the much affordable Under-17 World Cup was presented by the Union Sports Minister Vijay Goel and Spanish legend Carles Puyol to the grand daughter-in-law of Shibdas Bhaduri, the captain of Mohun Bagan, at a friendly exhibition at the Nehru Stadium here on Monday. The ceremonial ticket will allow the family to attend any of the matches across the six cities. I am glad that I didn’t only get to see India’s rich history, but also honour it,” Puyol said. Goel said it was the beginning of a revolution in Indian football and asked the people to support the World Cup by watching the matches in large numbers. The ticket for the U-17 World Cup will be launched on Tuesday, exactly at 19:11 hours, as a tribute to the year in which Indian football made history.
