Victoria Day long weekend marked an early beginning to splash pad season in Winnipeg. Thanks to warm weather leading into the weekend, the city decided to get things started a few days early this year. The city is expected to announce remaining splash pad and outdoor pool opening dates later this month. (Parks Canada )On Saturday, Central Corydon Community Centre, Jill Officer Park, Shaughnessy Park, Vimy Ridge Park and Central Park all opened their fountains and sprayers for the first time in 2016. The public mist and spray parks turned their faucets on in the final week of May last year.
