The soundtrack is also a departure from what you'd expect from either a Spider-Man movie or an animated film. It's unlike any animated film I've ever seen, placing an emphasis on a distinct art-style rather than just jaw-dropping visuals (though it's as jaw-dropping as any other animated film I've seen). It would have been easy to just make an animated Spider-Man film that looked good. It's quite possibly the best Spider-Man film I've ever seen, and one of my very favorite comic book movies---which says a lot given how many great comic book movies have come out in recent years. It's fresh, bursting with creativity, and beautifully made by people who obviously cared deeply about making the very best Spider-Man movie possible.
