more-inSix teenagers were crushed to death and one was critically injured when they were hit by a speeding train in Pilakhua area of Hapur on Sunday night. Eyewitnesses told the media that the teenagers, aged between 14 and 16, were crossing the railway tracks when trains arrived simultaneously on the two railway tracks at Sadiqpura area of Pilakhua. The accident angered the local residents who laid siege to the railway tracks and staged a protest. Locals also complained that there was no warning before trains crossed the area, which is densely populated on both the sides. Superintendent of Police Hemant Kutiyal and the District Magistrate Krishna Karunesh reached at the spot and pacified the agitated crowd.
