A Hong Kong taxi driver who appears to be speeding at night has fatally knocked down an elderly woman in Queensway in Admiralty and a brief, dash cam video clip circulating on social media shows the terrifying moment of impact and the victim being tossed in the air. The police have arrested the taxi driver for dangerous driving causing death. The 76-year-old woman has died at Ruttonjee Hospital after being taken there in an unconscious state. She had been mowed down at about 8:30 pm near Tamar Street by the taxi driver. The woman does not appear to be at a pedestrian crossing.
