MOTORISTS speeding along rural roads, including federal roads, in areas on the outskirts of small towns and villages, are something most Malaysian drivers are used to seeing. Azman Saad, 53, from Kampung Tanah Hitam, Chemor, said the lack of traffic lights along Jalan Tanjung Rambutan-Chemor enabled motorists to speed there. He said there was a slight bend and no traffic lights so motorists have to rely on their judgment when dashing across the road. “I told the committee to ask the authorities to instal traffic lights but it fell on deaf ears. “I really think there should be more traffic lights, especially at the junctions,” he said.
