Briefing reporters after the meeting, the home minister said additional police members would be deployed at Eidgahs to prevent subversive activities on Eid day. Asked if there is any threat targeting Eid, he said the law enforcement agencies would remain alert whether there is any threat or not. Asaduzzaman said police will ensure round-the-clock security at 23 cattle markets in the capital to prevent unpleasant incidents. Besides, initiatives have also been taken to prevent the flow of counterfeit currency in the cattle markets. Around 90% shopping malls in the capital have installed CCTV cameras, which will help police to ensure smooth security, he said.
