New Delhi, May 13 (PTI) The Indo-Tibetan Border Police is holding special pension adalats across the country to resolve the grievances of thousands of its retired personnel. The border guarding force organised the first such pension adalat for its around 650 personnel residing in north Indian states at Chandigarh yesterday, which was inaugurated by Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) chief Krishna Chaudhary. "The sessions are held to resolve issues related to pensioners of the force. About 50 per cent of the cases were disposed off on the spot during the Chandigarh session as both the accounts department and bank officials were present," a senior ITBP officer said. About 80,000 personnel strong ITBP is tasked to guard Indias frontier with China.
