The contents of the offending email - a 650 page document from the planning department addressing a total of 168 submissions received on the new County Development Plan. 'This simply cannot be supported by rural councillors in particular,' Cllr Carthy said. Unfortunately for us, Wexford is one of the first local authorities to see its current county development plan expire and therefore is at the front of the queue in terms of dealing with the issues being thrown up by the OPR. Early doors, Cllr Mary Farrell put forward a motion for the council members to obtain independent planning and legal advice on how to proceed.
