Office of the SpokespersonU.S. Special Envoy for the Horn of Africa (SEHOA) Mike Hammer will travel to Stockholm, Sweden and Brussels, Belgium August 19-26. In Stockholm, he will participate in World Water Week, hosted by the Stockholm International Water Institute. He will also participate in a roundtable discussion hosted by the Stockholm International Peace and Research Institute (SIPIRI). Special Envoy Hammer will then continue to Brussels, where he will meet with European Union (EU) officials on Ethiopia and Sudan. On Sudan, Ambassador Hammer will discuss regional and international efforts to silence the guns, support accountability, and chart a path forward for restoring democratic civilian governance, while also mobilizing support for regional humanitarian needs.
