The workshop was held at the National Institute of Local Governance office in Dhaka on WednesdaySpeakers at a two-day long workshop titled “Local Governance Issues” urged the youth to increase their participation in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in local governance. The workshop was held at the National Institute of Local Governance office in Dhaka on Wednesday. The workshop was jointly organized by the Efficient and Accountable Local Governance (EALG) project of the United National Development Program (UNDP) and Local Government Division of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives. “Youth participation is very important for local governance in attaining SDGs, and leaving no one behind, you have to work for it,” he added. To enhance understanding on local governance issues and improve their skills, a certain amount of research grants were provided to the researchers in group or as individuals.
