Parliament Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardene was given the COVID vaccine at the Army Hospital today morning, stated Sergeant-at-Arms Narendra Fernando. However, Tamil National Alliance members Selvarajah Gajendran and Gajendrajkumar Ponnambalm have refused to take the vaccine. Further, State Ministers Vidura Wickramanayake, Jayantha Samaraweera, D. V. Chanaka and MPs S. B. Dissanayake, Weerasumana Weerasinghe, Gunathilake Rajapaksha, Chandima Weerakkody, Rajith Bandara and Kumara Welgama were vaccinated today. MPs Rohana Dissanayake and Rohini Kavirathna have also refused the vaccine.
