A mental health advocate and professional speaker from North Preston, N.S., who wasn't paid for his speech at a 2017 Halifax WE Day event said he feels "used and exploited" after he learned that members of the Trudeau family were paid to speak at their events. Simmonds said when he was asked to speak about mental health and well-being at the event, he jumped at the opportunity.
