The Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting of the Assembly chaired by Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary decided to have only one-day sitting. Sources stated that Congress and BJP have opposed joint bill for increasing the quota for Minorities and STs. The Congress, on the other hand, demanded that both the Minorities, STs and BCs should be given reservation in proportion to their population. Similarly, the TDP, as stated at a press meet later, also wants quota for these communities in proportion to their population. Meanwhile, officials stated that all the Chellappa and Sudhir Commission reports were already sent to all legislators for their study.
