The waiver of sovereign guarantee in the Rafale jet deal with France was not the first of its kind, the Centre said in the Supreme Court on Saturday, puncturing the narrative that it had been done with an ulterior motive. The revelation came on an affidavit by the Centre in the review petitions on Rafale deal to be heard on Monday. As regards Rafale jets, the Centre assured that the first plane will arrive by September 2019.
