The first three tranches of the sovereign gold bond scheme collectively raised Rs 1,318 crore, the government said. The government has raised nearly Rs 920 crore through the fourth tranche of the Gold Sovereign Bond scheme that opened on July 18, 2016. In the third tranche, the government had raised Rs 746 crore when the issue price was Rs 2,600 per gram. It had raised Rs 1,318 crore in the first three tranches, it said. The government said it has realised around Rs 919 crore in this tranche, the highest yet.
