Without hesitation Eric Soper says it is his wife’s love and care that has helped him to reach 100. He and Lois have been married for 66 years, and they were joined by their daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Ross McCammon, of Dunedin, for his 100th birthday in Invercargill on Thursday. One of the early visitors to wish him birthday greetings was Lorneville RSA president Fiona Forrest, armed with flowers and gifts. Lorneville RSA president Fiona Forrest said Soper had attended every Lorneville Anzac Day service.
