A young New Zealander is recovering well in Barcelona after undergoing specialised spinal surgery in the Spanish city. To help with the cost, Southland businesses and netball community are holding a netballathon fundraising event at the ILT Stadium Southland on Sunday. Darnae plays netball for Southland Girls' High School and Skerrett is her coach. "We're so grateful and humbled at what Southland people are doing for us," Rebecca says. "We're gutted that we can't be there [for the netballathon] ... Darnae wanted to be part of it."
