Originally from eastern Southland, Jerry Clode has had an impressive career as a marketer in China where he has worked for major brands like Disney and Budweiser. Southland expat Jerry Clode has built an impressive career helping some of the world's biggest brands market products in China and he says his fascination with the country started in an eastern Southland classroom. Clode is the director of SMART at Resonance China, a bespoke strategy, research and naming service based in Shanghai. During his career, he has worked closely with world-leading brands like Budweiser and Disney to help them understand Chinese consumers. Clode said his interest in China was fostered by two of his teachers from his school days in Gore.
