The Southland District Council has produced a map identifying disabled friendly areas, as part of a plan to make the region more..... The map is available at i-sites, council offices and other agencies and is also on the district council website. Southland District Council inclusive communities liaison Janet Thomas said the purpose of the map was to encourage disabled residents and visitors to get out and about in the district with confidence. The council partnered with Venture Southland to develop an A3 tear-off map of the Southland District that includes facilities which could be easily accessed by those living with disabilities.
