Essential services in Invercargill will continue to operate during the nationwide Covid-19 lockdown, but city council facilities will be closed until at least Saturday. And the bus service was operational, but limited to only essential workers getting to and from work, and also for people who needed access to essential services and didn’t have their own vehicles. Wheelie bins will still be collected and the council’s essential services team is available for emergency call outs.
