Insurance claimants misled by government-owned Southern Response have been urged to get legal advice about how to access about $300 million in compensation payments. Four High Court judgements released this week have finalised the process by which about 3000 claimants should be notified about a class action against Southern Response and a Southern Response compensation package. Southern Response announced a package for claimants in June and went to court for directions about the form it should be communicated to claimants. They also approve the form of contact between Southern Response and claimants about the compensation package.
